My Dad was John Gaylon Ragsdale from Johnson Co AR. then SE Missouri, His Dad John Alex Ragsdale also from Johnson Co. AR. Moved his family to SE Missouri in 1944.

I also grew up hearing about Indians and my father was born on the Ft Gibson Indian Res. in 1913 he's William Albert my Grandfather was William Lincoln I understood he would canoe lumber down the the rivers for up north. I also beleive we traced our tree to a Owen Ragsdale in Notingham Shire who sold his knighthood built a Church and a hospital and left for America in the 1600

My husband's grandmother was Veda Ragsdale Combs daughter of James Montgomery Ragsdale and McCormick. James and his brother Thadeus came through Missouri, had a business there and also helped build a college. Veda married Herbert Lee Combs from Columbus MT and they moved to Seattle WA. My husbands father was Herbert Lee Combs JR. Interested in any Ragsdales from James and Thadeus' families or ancestors.
