Last Will & Testament
State of Tennessee - Weakley County
Know all men by these presents that I JORDAN RAGSDALE of the county and state aforesaid of my own free will and accord and in a proper condition of mind do on this the 4th day of December in the year of our Lord 1891, make this my last will and testament.
First, I desire my Doctor's bill and funeral expenses paid out of whatever personal property I may die possessed of and then the remainder to be given and distributed as follows. For good and just reasons I leave my oldest son WILLIAM L. RAGSDALE out of the will having given him his share during his life. Next I will and bequeath to my three sons, J.B. RAGSDALE, GREEN RAGSDALE and SAMUEL RAGSDALE and their heirs seventy five acres of land, the west half of my land and divided as follows. SAMUEL to have fifteen acres off the North end, the remainder of the tract to be equally divided between the heirs of the other two. I next will and bequeath to the heirs of my daughter MELISSA BABB seventy five acres, the east half of my tract of land, also all the personal property that may be in my possession at the time of my death after all my debts are paid. And I hereby appoint JOHN FERUSIL my lawful executor to carry out the provisions of this my last will and testament.
